What We Offer
Training & Technical Assistance
The Hawaiian Islands Environmental Finance Center (HIEFC) assists with grant applications for water infrastructure projects, hosts individual and group training sessions on a variety of topics, and connects organizations with valuable resources and partners. This includes identifying federal funding opportunities for projects, guiding applicants through the entire grant application and federal registration processes, and facilitating outreach to community organizations with water infrastructure needs. The HIEFC offers support with drafting, editing, and reviewing grant proposals, and provides research assistance by directing organizations to helpful resources to enhance the quality of their project proposals. We also provide post-award support like assistance with setup of internal systems and templates for grant management. To learn more about these services, please complete the short intake questionnaire on the Contact Us page.
Engineering & Technical Support
The HIEFC offers engineering and technical support to aid project development. We focus on identifying sustainable projects, especially those working towards raising equity in underrepresented and underserved communities. We assist with key content for federal funding applications, covering everything from conceptual design to grant writing.
